Scaled Professional Scrum™
Learn to scale Scrum beyond a single Team
The training is provided by one of the licensed trainers
Scaled Professional Scrum™ (SPS) with Nexus™ is a 2-day course that is designed as an experiential workshop where students learn how to scale Scrum using the Nexus Framework. Throughout, you are introduced to the artifacts and events within the framework, the new Nexus Integration Team role, along with more than 50 associated practices.
You will go with us all the way through, from forming to managing Nexus - a key generating unit in a professionally scaled Scrum. This experience will help you to understand techniques, philosophy and challenges that Ken Schwaber and Scrum.org have worked out through years of working in Scrum.
During the training, we will present:
- new roles, artifacts and events necessary for effective scaling,
- how to organize a number of teams in order to optimize the effort and productivity,
- practices that help teams to build and integrate the product efficiently,
- techniques of inconsistency detection and methods of dealing with them,
- challenges you might face in large development projects.
This training includes a very small part of Scrum. Only as much as is needed for understanding how to scale it.
Leaders from the development-side and all those who are or will be involved in multiple-team Scrum project management,
those who have already successfully carried out some small projects in Scrum,
those who want to hire more Scrum teams for a purpose of a larger project
managers of scalable projects
those who are struggling with scalable projects
Participants should already have a solid understanding of Scrum - either through work experience in Scrum or verified by a PSM I exam.
All participants completing the Scaled Professional Scrum course will receive a password to attempt the Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) assessment. The industry-recognized SPS certification requires a minimum passing score and involves understanding of the Nexus Framework, knowledge from the course and of Scrum.
All students of Scaled Professional Scrum class who have a certificate issued by Project Management Institute (e.g. PMP) and are willing to renew it, can claim 14 Personal Development Units (PDUs). Points are earned for course attendance and not for passing a Scrum.org assessment.
The training takes place in Polish. We organize closed training for the needs of English-speaking groups. The exam takes place in English. During the training, the trainers take care of familiarizing participants with the terminology in English. To take the exam, knowledge of the language at the First Certificate level and language experience in the IT industry are recommended.
